Hispanics are here in very large numbers. And this growth is not out of people migrating from other Latin countries. The growth we see is caused primarily by birth rate. And these large numbers of Latinos have given Joe a desire to grow our Hispanic Ministry in its efforts to reach our local Spanish speaking community.

Adam Herndon – High School Youth Minister
EMAIL
Ministry Page
Adam ministers to the high school students at Saturn Road. He joined the staff in 2012 and has been in full-time ministry for 7 years. Misty and Adam met at Oklahoma Christian University and were married in 2006. Adam received an undergraduate and graduate level education from OC. They have a son, Ethan, who was born at the end of 2011. High school ministry provides many opportunities for a grown up to do exciting things like wilderness trek, church camp, and the “cool stuff” that teens get to do. Most importantly, it provides an opportunity to challenge students to transition into young adulthood with a desire to follow Jesus wholeheartedly. Believe it or not, parents of high school students are cool too. It is a great partnership here at Saturn Road and has been for a number of years. |

Ministry Page
Joey Wrape came to Saturn Road to work as our Junior High Youth Minister in May of 2004. He has been married to Andrea for 22 years and has two children: Trey, a youth ministry student at Abilene Christian University, and Jordyn, a high school student. Joey grew up a “PK” (preacher’s kid) and has been around ministry his entire life. He has been in full-time ministry for over 25 years. Joey’s philosophy for Junior High ministry is simple: love kids and provide a safe-place for young adolescents to grow physically, emotionally and spiritually. Love kids and provide ministry opportunities that teach them and stretch them to become ACTIVE members in God’s family while allowing them to be who they are. Ministry should be fun and educational and provide purpose that leaves young teens inspired to search themselves for a deeper experience. Loving kids is the key.Our Junior High ministry seeks to be a resource for parents and youth alike for ways to better serve their friends, family, church, community and God. Come be a part of our Junior High ministry and let’s help change the world for God! Proverbs 22:6 – Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.
