When a junior high student walks through our Teen Center doors, we want them to feel like they have “come home”. All students know they are loved by our Junior High Minister, Joey Wrape, and his wife, Andrea. Their belief is that Junior High ministry is an extension of the family, and while students are still young, they are mature enough to search and make their Christian walk their own.
We are a ministry without walls, meaning we want young people’s lives to be about more than just attending church. We want their lives to be a journey to share with the world. We want our students to feel loved, forgiven, open minded, and safe. Each student plays an important role in forming our youth ministry. Our goal is to put them on the path to find and grow their faith. Our spiritual lives are journeys we never arrive to but are constantly growing and seeking. Each of our class times are centered around scripture, but we use music, videos and games to help make scripture connect as well as dig deeper in the Word, and grow their faith.
Each year, Junior High students participate in service projects, retreats, Summer Camp, Work Camp, 8th Grade Mission Trip, devo’s, teen worship, and lots of fun activities. Each activity is meant to grow them spiritually, and collectively. We love parent involvement, and are blessed to have an abundance of parents who are willing to volunteer for our many activities. Come and see what’s in store for you in Saturn Road’s Junior High Family!
