Richard Dickson

Richard Dickson grew up in El Paso, TX at the Montana Street Church of Christ and Eastwood Church of Christ. His mother was a Christian, but his father never embraced the LORD. His mother saw to it that he was involved in youth activities, attended youth camps, and had Christian role models. Richard attended college at Lubbock Christian and Abilene Christian, graduating in 1972. Richard and Frieda met in college, and have been married forty years.

They have two sons, Brandon, who serves with the US ARMY and is presently stationed in Iraq, and Barrett, a junior at Lubbock Christian University. Richard has worked at Dallas Christian School for twenty years. He currently teaches Bible in the middle school. The Dicksons moved to Garland and Saturn Road in 1973.

Richard has served as a deacon, Bible class teacher teaching teenagers and adults, helped establish Harvest Sunday and Bible Hour, and worked with the building committee to build the present building. He has served as an elder since 2003.  Richard’s dream for Saturn Road is for it to be a loving and nurturing congregation.
